Pallet networks, falling between courier
services and consignments, have only
recently been introduced in Europe,
but STTI can already offer its customers
this leading-edge service. Unlike courier
services, it does not use consignment
density (poids taxable) as a factor
in its pricing. Pallet networks may
be used only for products that can
be palleted; the maximum mass for a
standard package is one tonne. They
are useful for specific destinations
for up to around three pallets, and
must be supplemented using the consignment
service.
People
and know-how:
A team of five experienced staff,
organized by destination, are available
to you. Each person manages a shipment
from start to finish, up to the invoicing
stage, so that all the information
is centralized.
The pallet networks operate like
a courier service and guarantee
delivery
times for dispatches and fast information
turnaround.
Resources:
By sharing resources within our trade
association Log’in 3, we can
collect loads from the Aube, the Marne,
the Yonne and the Paris area, and from
other areas if the quantity is sufficient.
STTI uses its own fleet for daily
runs to the main network hubs.
Each order is tracked using our information
system, which communicates with
our partners via EDI.
Our customs agency and our tax
representatives facilitate documentation
management
for consignments of alcohol or
bonded shipments.
Shipments:
On behalf of our customers, we carry
out import and export operations in
Italy, Germany, the Benelux countries,
Great Britain, Switzerland and the
Iberian peninsula.
Larger consignments are managed depending
on destination by our own fleet or
by the partners we select as our subcontractors.
Customer references: Our customers
include Manoir Industrie, Vachette,
Sédis and Catequip.
