Specialising in logistics and the delivery of bulky goods, STTI offers two direct home delivery services to private homes or worksites in France and neighbouring countries: Small LDD and Big LDD. As a manufacturer, e-merchant or craftsman, opt for a complete solution to help you manage your transport and deliveries.
The difference between Small LDD and Big LDD lies in the type of products transported and the means of delivery.
Small LDD is our delivery service for bulky and fragile products with a volume of less than 1m3 and not exceeding 100kg. They are delivered in 3T5 vehicles with a tarpaulin or load-bearing vehicle, giving easy access to the final recipient.
The business was born out of the realisation that bulky and fragile parcels do not stand up to traditional courier services, which generate a large number of costly disputes for shippers. The solution is to limit the number of load breaks to preserve the integrity of the products during transport.
Examples of products delivered by Small LDD: home closures (entrance doors; aluminium doors; interior doors; sectional and roller garage doors; sliding, swing and kit gates; aluminium and rigid fencing; roller and swing shutters; awnings); outdoor products (pergolas, carports, carports, garden sheds, garden furniture).
The DO sends the order file 24/48 hours before the physical receipt of the goods at STTI. All orders are transmitted to us via a digital channel that ranges from the simplest to the most sophisticated. We process Excel files sent via an FTP server, direct EDI integrations, or through a loading station installed at our ordering customers’ premises.
Our customer service distributes orders to each of the relevant departments according to the delivery service requested (Big LDD, Small LDD, flow management), before integrating them into our TMS (Transport Management System).
When the goods are received, the following are checked:
In the event of an anomaly, a delivery report is sent to the client no later than 24 hours after receipt of the goods.
The goods are stored by type (manu racks, cantilevers, outdoor storage area, etc.) and by delivery area in our warehouses.
A telephone appointment is made with the recipient on average 3 days before delivery: a time slot of approximately 60 minutes is announced. All appointments are made by our STTI operators, regardless of the delivery area. The customer has a single point of contact.
Before loading, the tour is checked using barcodes and then the packages are loaded securely (on suitable support, attached, protected) and according to your requirements (e.g.: flat transport).
We are committed to respecting the time slot announced to the customer.
Once the delivery is complete,
Our system adapts to your organization and your needs while offering you a complete and monitored solution, from the integration of the customer order to delivery.
For Large Long Term Delivery (LDD), delivery is made at the customer’s convenience, subject to feasibility, thanks to the onboard forklift, which allows the product to be handled without any customer intervention. This forklift adapts to all types of terrain and products. This provides convenience for the customer, who can fully enjoy their order without worrying about moving it.
For Small Long Term Delivery (LDD), fragile and bulky products are also unloaded by our driver upon delivery and placed within the property (e.g., garage, garden).
For direct home delivery, the end customer is contacted by telephone a few days before delivery to arrange a time slot and confirm access conditions, particularly for Large Long Term Delivery (LDD). Finally, our drivers always call the customer before the appointment on the day of delivery, and packages are checked upon delivery.
Regardless of the destination of your orders, STTI is the single point of contact for you, the client, and the end customer. We handle the entire process from receipt of the purchase order to delivery and feedback.
Our customer service team, acting as a direct intermediary between the client and the various stakeholders, provides a prompt response, whether for transport, logistics, invoicing, quotes, or other requests. Separate call numbers have been set up for individuals and businesses.
We can offer you a single rate in the tax unit of your choice for shipments to France, an advantage allowing you to offer your own customers a single delivery package, which is very popular in e-commerce.
We are able to manage flows throughout France and abroad, using our own resources or through our network of partners via our flow management center.
It is entirely possible to ship directly from your site or to centralize shipments in our logistics warehouses and then redispatch them for delivery.
Quality delivery remains a given, but it must now be accompanied by immediate information processing and availability.
To facilitate communication and service tracking, we have designed STTI Manager, a web service accessible to our clients, particularly customer service representatives.
STTI Manager allows you to track the progress of each stage of the shipment: from logistical preparation to delivery validation. You will be able to view the comments provided by our employees when scheduling telephone appointments, proof of delivery, and photos of the product in situ at the recipient’s location. In a simple and user-friendly way, you will be able to view each order with details of the products it contains, stock levels for each item, assigned orders, stock shortages, and many other essential elements for the effective management of your customer relationships.
STTI Manager also allows you to provide a tracking URL that can be sent to the end customer to allow them to track the progress of their delivery or integrated into your customer management tools.
The dashboards included in STTI Manager will provide you with an instant snapshot of your transport and logistics activities.
