What is flow management?

With its own fleet and a network of preferred partners, the Flow Management Division is constantly seeking suitable road transportation options for our clients and organizing them throughout France and Europe.

In other words, this involves:

– Collaborating with carriers when we don’t have the resources of our own to meet your needs. These trusted partners are selected for their expertise and a level of excellence similar to our organization and processes.

– Expanding our offering in terms of geographic scope, allowing us to deliver throughout Europe.

– Providing transportation services under the best possible conditions, responsibly, and at the best price.

The Flow Management Division, more commonly known as “road chartering,” employs six charterers. A close-knit team fosters close ties with our corporate clients. Their role is to manage and optimize flows as much as possible, all while respecting a given deadline, hence the choice of the name “flow management”.

How it works flow management at STTI?

Our team responds to all types of requests, from one-off to long-term needs:

– Spot or “one-shot” quotes: the client sends us a quote request to arrange occasional transport;

– Pricing:

- – The initial visit: A time for discussion with the manager, during which various information and the client’s needs regarding their products are gathered: analysis of flows, new products, sales trends, problems encountered, transportation and logistics constraints, dispute management, inventory, supplies, etc.
- – The study: An in-depth analysis with a view to optimizing supply and distribution flows is conducted by our division manager. This is followed by the implementation and presentation of a dedicated transportation plan aligned with the client’s needs and a detailed commercial offer.
- – Conclusion of the contract: once an agreement has been reached.

– Shipping logistics flows for our own clients: we have a cross-docking platform at our Rosières-près-Troyes site (10). Cross-docking is a logistics operation that involves moving goods from arrival docks to departure docks, bypassing warehouses. It offers many advantages for the customer: it allows for product consolidation, cost optimization, and responsiveness by reducing delivery times.

We are able to organize transport and distribution from pallets to full trucks throughout Europe.

Our specialties:

– Express (in less than 3.5 tons): delivery in less than 24 hours throughout France and Europe;

– Exceptional consignments: France and Europe (examples: aeronautical machinery, amusement rides).

Pallet network Star "Palet System"

– We are members of the Astre group and offer a palletized transport solution. As a “deliverer” within the network, we distribute pallets throughout Europe with real-time tracking thanks to feedback.

In coordination with our road service, we have set up pallet haulage at the Astre platform located in Le Plessis-Pâté (91).

Our solutions for efficient piloting

Resources internally

We offer various types of vehicles (straw carrier, roll-on/roll-off, with onboard forklift, conventional) with drivers for long-term needs and/or transportation optimization.

We also have our own fleet of tautliner vehicles with and without tailgates.

Partners internationally

– I-dika: is our Italian courier partner based near Turin, with whom we have been working for several years. We organize regular deliveries of wines and spirits to their platform. This is their specialty, and they then distribute them by courier throughout Italy.
– Astre Palet System: Our membership in the Astre group, and particularly the Astre Palet System network, allows us to offer a palletized transport service that relies on a large network of distributors and remittances.

Our expert team manages the entire transportation process from start to finish. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the transportation process (from procurement to delivery) and ensuring that commitments are met.

We remain the sole point of contact throughout the entire process of handling your freight, simplifying communication and allowing us to be responsive.

One of our charterers is dedicated to a company in the industrial sector, a manufacturer of fire doors. This allows us to bring real expertise to the client: they understand the different products and their constraints, and can therefore offer tailored, personalized solutions.
